How to Mix Natural Colors for Healthy Moon Cakes (Video)
Ingredients and Tools for Food Coloring:
– 1 bunch of Pandan leaves
– 2 Carrots
– 1 Beetroot
– About 30g of Coffee beans
– Water
– Tools: Blender, Sieve, Coffee filter
How to Make Food Coloring:
Step 1: Green
Take 1 bunch of Pandan leaves, cut them into pieces, put them in a blender, add 200ml of water, blend until smooth, and then strain the mixture through a sieve to extract the green water.
Step 2: Orange
Take 2 carrots, wash them, cut them into small pieces, put them in a blender, add 200ml of water, blend until smooth, and then strain the mixture through a sieve to extract the orange water.
Step 3: Purple
Take 1 beetroot, wash it, chop it, put it in a blender, add 200ml of water, blend until smooth, and then strain the mixture through a sieve to extract the purple water.
Step 4: Brown color
Grind the coffee beans and then place them in a coffee filter. Pour boiling water over the coffee beans to extract the brown color.
Now you have successfully made 4 natural food colors. These colors can be used to make mooncakes, as well as to enhance the appearance of various dishes and jellies. Good luck!
